5mp camera for raspberry pi
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Camera Module Rev 1.3 with Cable comes with a flexible cable to attach it to the Raspberry Pi 3. The 5MP camera module is perfect for small Raspberry Pi projects which have very little space allowance. All you have to do is boot up Raspbian and you’re good to go.
Its high-definition 5MP camera can shoot both stills and video, perfect for drones or CCTV projects. The lightweight camera module makes it perfect for hiding cameras or even Pi-phone cameras, for example.
There are two small sockets on the upper surface of Raspberry Pi that allow it to attach to the board. This 5MP camera for Raspberry Pi is a custom designed add-on for Raspberry Pi. This interface uses a dedicated CSI interface, which was created for interfacing with cameras. A CSI bus is capable of carrying extremely high data rates, and pixels are the only data it carries.
A short flexible ribbon cable connects the board to Raspberry Pi. It measures 25mm x 23mm x 8mm and weighs just over 3g, making it ideal for mobile and other applications. CSI bus is a higher bandwidth link between the camera and the BCM2835 processor on the Pi. Pixel data is transferred from the camera to the processor via a high speed link. Camera board to Pi ribbon cable connects to this bus.
In terms of still images, the camera supports 2592 x 1944 pixel static images, as well as 1080p30, 720p60, and 640x480p60/90 video.
This camera plugs directly into the camera port on the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B! No adapters are required!
Connection to hardware:
A soft cable with a vertical connector at 90 degrees with an HDMI port next to it. When connecting, the contact side should face the HDMI interface.
Lens protective film should be torn
Beware of static electricity, pay attention to ESD damage on bare boards!
