5mp Pi Zero W Camera Module W/Hbv Ffc Cable
The 5mp Pi Zero W Camera Module W/Hbv Ffc Cable, comes with a flexible cable for easy attachment to the Raspberry Pi Zero W. It is excellent for compact projects that have limited space. Simply boot up the newest version of Raspbian and you’re all set to begin!
The 5MP camera captures stunning photos and can also record video, making it a versatile choice for drones or CCTV projects. Its compact design enables it to be utilized in various practical settings, including as a hidden camera or a Pi-phone camera.
The customized Raspberry Pi Camera Module easily connects to the Raspberry Pi via one of two small sockets on the board’s upper surface. It utilizes the dedicated CSI interface, specifically designed for camera compatibility. This high-speed CSI bus exclusively transmits pixel data.
The board is compact, measuring only 25mm x 23mm x 8mm, and lightweight at just over 3g. It is ideal for mobile or other situations where size and weight are key factors. A short, flexible ribbon cable connects it to the Raspberry Pi. The camera links to the BCM2835 processor on the Pi through the CSI bus, a high-speed connection that transmits pixel data from the camera to the processor. The bus runs along the ribbon cable that connects the camera board to the Pi.
The sensor comes with a 5 megapixel native resolution and a built-in fixed focus lens. It can capture static images at a maximum size of 2592 x 1944 pixels, as well as record video in various resolutions including 1080p30, 720p60, and 640x480p60/90.
Save yourself the hassle of using adapters – just plug this camera directly into the camera port of your Raspberry Pi Zero or ZeroW!
Please take note: this module can capture photos and videos, but not audio.
