PS2 Joystick Module Breakout Sensor
The PS2 Joystick Module Breakout Sensor closely resembles the ‘analog‘ joysticks found on PS2 (PlayStation 2) controllers. It works via two potentiometers, one for each axis, with a potentiometer rating of approximately 10k. Additionally, there is a select button which can be activated by pressing down on the joystick.
Utilizing the PS2 Joystick Module Breakout Sensor Module, you are able to determine the X and Y coordinates by manipulating the “hat,” which also includes a press-able switch. This button can be activated by pushing down on the “hat,” similar to that of an XBOX controller.
The 10k potentiometers for the X and Y axes generate analog signals to control 2D movement. In working mode, two analog values are outputted to represent two directions. This module operates on a 5V power supply and reads values from the analog input. The starting value is approximately 2.5V, but will increase as the joystick moves and reaches a maximum of 5V. Conversely, moving the joystick in the opposite direction will decrease the value until it reaches 0V.
The various programs that are accessible via computer or other electronic device:
- The square wave signal generator produces a signal in the shape of a square wave.
- To transmit a command to the stepper motor controller
- Pulse generation can be adjusted for chip utilization.
- Generate a diverse pulsed signal using the control circuit for various functions such as PWM dimming and speed adjustments.
Description of PS2 Joystick Module Breakout Sensor:
There are three divisions within frequency:
- The smallest unit is 1Hz, while the range spans from 1Hz to 999Hz.
- The minimum unit is 0.1KHz, with a range of 0.1KHz-99.9KHz.
- The smallest unit in this range is 1KHz, with a range of 1KHz-150KHz.
- Here’s an example of the frequency display in action:
- The numerical value of “100” denotes a PWM output pulse at 100Hz.
- The numerical value of “54.1” corresponds to a PWM output pulse frequency of 54.1KHz.
- The notation “1.2.4.” denotes a 124KHz PWM pulse output.
- The duty cycle can be set anywhere from 0 to 100.
- The duty cycle for the three frequencies remains consistent, while all the parameters remain non-volatile.
Included in the design are various elements that enhance the overall functionality of PS2 Joystick Module Breakout Sensor.
- Interface leads with a 2.54mm pin size
- With a prolonged lifespan and consistent performance.
- The standard interface and electronic components.
- Commonly utilized in various Arduino do-it-yourself (DIY) endeavors.
- The cross rocker can function as a two-way 10K resistor when positioned in a different direction.
