Introducing a user-friendly solution for connecting to your XBee line – the USB to serial base unit. Compatible with all XBee modules, including Series 1 and Series 2.5 in both standard and Pro versions, this XBee USB adapter (CP2102) easily plugs into the Explorer. Simply attach the USB cable, and you’ll have direct access to the serial and programming pins on your XBee unit.

Additionally, the board features a CP USB to Serial chip, allowing for easy connection to your computer via USB. With this setup, you have the ability to reprogram the XBee modules and update the firmware. The board receives power through the USB cable and comes equipped with the Digi XBee XB24-Z7WIT-004 module. Notably, this new version of Series 2B boasts improved power output and data protocol compared to Series 2.

The 2B modules in the Series allow for the creation of intricate mesh networks using the powerful XBee ZB ZigBee firmware. They enable seamless communication between microcontrollers, computers, and any other device equipped with a serial port. These versatile modules offer support for both point to point and multi-point networks.

The module includes Power, RSSI, Din & Dout LED indicators. It serves as a simple breakout board for connecting a Zigbee module to a PC via USB. With this board, you can program the Xbee using the XCTU software as well.
