P160 E2 POGO Pins
P160 E2 Pogo pins are useful spring-loaded contacts that can serve multiple purposes. They come in handy for creating jigs or establishing temporary, but secure, connections. We often use them in large quantities for programming and testing jigs, but they also come in handy when JTAG programming a board that cannot have headers soldered onto it. These thin contacts can simply be inserted into a 0.1″ pitch IDC programming cable and pressed onto the desired contacts. There are various tip styles available, including flat, conical, rounded, and crown. The particular pin being discussed has a crown tip, which is ideal for connecting to PCB test points and wire wrap posts, even if the contacts are not perfectly aligned.
