2 Channel 5V Relay Module With Optocoupler

Introducing the perfect solution for controlling high-current appliances and equipment – a 2 Channel 5V relay module with Optocoupler designed for use with a variety of microcontrollers such as Arduino, PIC, ARM, and more. With the ability to handle large currents, it works seamlessly with both 3.3V and 5V logic signals. So go ahead and simplify your control system with this versatile module.

The 1×4 (2.54mm pitch) pin header on this relay is designed for both power (5V and 0V) and control of the 2 relays.

The PCB is labeled with pins, denoted as:

  • Ground connection – Attach the 0V to this pin.
  • IN1 is responsible for activating relay 1, which will be triggered when the input voltage drops below approximately 2.0V.
  • IN2 controls relay 2 in an active low configuration, meaning the relay will be activated when this input drops below approximately 2.0V.
  • Provide 5V to this pin, which serves as the power source for the optocouplers.
  • Please be aware that this Dual Channel Relay Module operates with a 5V power supply and is only compatible with low level triggers.

Regarding the modes of high and low level-triggered:

  • The high-level trigger is the voltage between the input and trigger, which can be seen as a short-circuited signal input with the cathode connected to VCC.
  • Low-level trigger can be defined as the voltage difference between the input terminal and the GND negative electrode that causes a 1-channel relay module to connect. In simpler terms, it is like short-circuiting the signal input terminal and GND to trigger the relay.
  • When using the jumper, connecting 5V to one end and -5V/Gnd to the other will turn on the relay. Additionally, shorting VCC and the middle pin will cause the relay to act as a high-level triggered relay. In this mode, applying 5V to its input pin will turn it on. On the other hand, setting the jumper to “middle and GND” will make the relay function as a low-level triggered relay, triggering it when 5V/GND is applied to its input pin.

The characteristics of the 2 Channel 5V Relay Module With Optocoupler include:

  • There are 2 LEDs that will light up to show when the relays are activated.
  • Compatible with both 3.3V and 5V devices that operate at logic level signals
  • Circuitry for opto isolation
  • 2 Channel 5V Relay Module With Optocoupler is equipped with diode current protection for a fast response time.
  • 2 Channel 5V Relay Module With Optocoupler has 4 mounting holes with a hole diameter of 3.1 mm, allowing for simple and secure installation.
