5mm IR LED Transmitter Light Emitting Diode
The 5mm IR LED Transmitter Light Emitting Diode includes two infrared tubes for transmitting and receiving. As the transmitted light waves bounce back, the receiver tube captures the reflected IR waves. These waves are then processed by the onboard comparator circuitry, causing the green indicator LED to activate.
The module includes a 3 wire interface, consisting of Vcc, GND, and an OUTPUT pin located on its tail. This interface is compatible with voltage levels ranging from 3.3V to 5V. When obstacle or light is detected, the output pin produces a digital signal in the form of a low-level signal. For convenience, there is an onboard preset that allows for easy adjustment of the operating range. The effective distance range for this module is between 2cm and 80cm.
