74HC4051 8CH Analog Multiplexer Breakout Board
Introducing the CJMCU-4051 74HC4051 8CH analog multiplexer breakout board designed for use with Arduino. Equipped with a single-pole octal-throw analog switch (SP8T) known as 74HCT4051, it is ideal for both analog and digital 8:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer applications. This versatile switch offers three digital select inputs (S0, S1, and S2), eight independent inputs/outputs (Yn), a common input/output (Z), and a digital enable input (E). When the E input is set to HIGH, the switches are deactivated. Additionally, the inclusion of clamp diodes in the inputs allows for current limiting resistors to be used when interfacing with voltages higher than VCC.
Characteristics:
- The voltage range for analog input is wide, allowing for a range of -5V to +5V.
- The ON resistance is low at 80 ohm (type) when Vcc = 4.5V, 70 ohm (type) when Vcc = 6.0V, and 60 ohm (type) when Vcc = 9.0V.
- Logic level translation is needed for communication between 5V and /-5V analog signals.
- The dimensions of the board are 30 x 19 mm.
