BME280 Atmospheric Sensor Module
The BME280 Atmospheric Sensor Breakout allows for efficient measurement of barometric pressure, humidity, and temperature readings without requiring excess space. In essence, this compact device provides all the necessary information on atmospheric conditions. It has been specifically designed for use in indoor/outdoor navigation, weather forecasting, home automation, as well as personal health and wellness monitoring purposes.
The on-board BME280 sensor measures atmospheric pressure from 30kPa to 110kPa, as well as relative humidity and temperature. The breakout board offers a 3.3V SPI interface and a 5V tolerant I2C interface with pull-up resistors to 3.3V. It operates at less than 1mA during measurements and less than 5µA in idle mode. With 10 pins, the BME280 Breakout board only utilizes a maximum of six at once. One side of the board contains power, ground, and I2C pins while the other side has additional power and ground for SPI functionality.
