BMP180 Digital Barometric Sensor Module
The BMP180 Digital Barometric Sensor Module is compatible with Arduino and can measure the absolute pressure of the environment. This type of digital barometer has various interesting applications.
Utilizing the BMP180 sensor, one can accurately determine the elevation of a robot, airplane or projectile by converting its measured pressure into altitude. This highly capable sensor boasts an impressive 1m accuracy and ultra-high resolution noise of only 17cm.
With a low current draw of only 0.3uA, the BMP180 is ideal for battery-powered applications. It comes fully calibrated and ready to use, operating over I2C. For added convenience during breadboarding, optional I2C pull-ups can be enabled by using the PU (pull up) jumper on the board.
BMP180 Digital Barometric Sensor Module utilizes I2C to deliver pressure and temperature readings in the form of 16-bit values. These values, combined with calibration data already stored within the device, enable accurate altitude calculations that are adjusted for temperature.
- The power supply voltage ranges from 1.8V to 3.6V.
- An I2C interface is required for communication.
- Properly adjusted.
- An extremely minimal amount of noise is present, measuring only 0.02hPa (17cm).
- Compact and user-friendly.
