CJMCU-1972 LX1972 Analog Light Sensor
The CJMCU-1972 LX1972 Analog Light Sensor designed to mimic the spectral response of the human eye. Its patented circuitry ensures a peak response at 520nm and only a minimal IR response (less than ±5% of the peak) above 900nm.
CJMCU-1972 LX1972 Analog Light Sensor contains a PIN diode array that offers a precise and consistent current transfer function. It utilizes high gain current mirrors on the chip to amplify the photo-current of the PIN diode to a sensitivity level, which can then be voltage scaled using an external resistor. This convenient two-pin device allows for direct use of its output current or conversion to voltage by placing a single resistor in series with either of its pins.
The dynamic range is reliant on the resistors, which are typically within the 10K to 100K range, and the power supply values.
In most cases, an operating voltage of 1.8V is sufficient for the LX1972 to function under 1000 Lux lighting conditions.
The utilization of internal temperature compensation ensures that dark current remains below 200nA throughout the entire temperature range specified (-40 to 85℃), resulting in precise measurements even in low light. This feature allows for usability in ambient light conditions ranging from 1 Lux to over 5000 Lux.
Specifically designed for regulating backlighting systems in affordable consumer goods, such as LCD televisions, laptops, and digital cameras, the LX1972 is an ideal choice.
CJMCU-1972 LX1972 Analog Light Sensor are widely used in everyday life, with applications in laptops, phones, and home lighting systems. Their purpose is to determine the amount of light present in a given area or environment.
Utilizing LX1972 as its ambient light sensing component, this analog light sensor accurately mimics the spectral response of human eyes. It enables you to detect light intensity and transmit an analog voltage signal to the Arduino controller. The voltage level threshold can be adjusted to activate other units in your Arduino project.
