CJMCU-TEMT6000 Ambient Light Sensor Module
The CJMCU-TEMT6000 Ambient Light Sensor module is equipped with the TMET6000, an ambient light detector that closely mimics the response of the human eye. By accurately detecting light density and reflecting analog voltage signals to the Arduino controller, this module allows for easy triggering of other units in your Arduino project by setting a desired voltage threshold.
The CJMCU-TEMT6000 is a small, surface-mountable silicon NPN phototransistor in a transparent 1206 package that serves as an ambient light sensor. Its sensitivity to visible light is comparable to the human eye, with a peak at 570 nm. However, its high sensitivity to ambient light may hinder detection of infrared (IR) wavelengths, which also provide heightened responsiveness within the visible spectrum.
Various software programs can be used for a multitude of purposes, varying from organizing data to creating visual designs.
The ambient light sensor enables control over the dimming of display backlight and keypad backlight in LCD displays, as well as industrial on/off lighting.
Highlighted characteristics of CJMCU-TEMT6000 Ambient Light Sensor include:
- AEC-Q101 compliant
- Extreme sensitivity to light
- The eye’s response to light is described in terms of its spectral response.
- The voltage can be adjusted to various levels.
- Tailored to match the sensitivity of the human eye.
- Reflow soldering without the use of Lead (Pb)
- In accordance with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, we are compliant and adhere to its standards.
