The SD card interface is compatible with both FAT16 and FAT32 formatted cards. Its 3.3v level shifter circuitry ensures that your SD card remains undamaged. Additionally, it features a Real-time clock (RTC) that continues to keep accurate time even when the Arduino is disconnected. And here’s the best part: the battery backup has a lifespan of years. How cool!
The provided libraries and sample code for SD and RTC allow for an easy start. The prototyping area is available for adding connectors, circuitry, or sensors through soldering. Additionally, the onboard 3.3v regulator serves as a stable reference voltage and can power demanding SD cards without issue.
