JSN-SR04T Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor
The JSN-SR04T Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor is comparable to the ones commonly used in cars. However, it offers significant design benefits compared to traditional sensors. It consists of two components – the transducer, which serves as the sensing element, and the control board.
JSN-SR04T Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor offers object information within a distance range of 250 mm to 4500 mm. The Waterproof Ultrasonic Obstacle Sensor has the added benefit of allowing the sensing element to be placed far from the control circuitry.

The control port with a 10US above high level can wait for a corresponding high-level output at the receiving port. If the port is low, it can drive the timer and read its value, which can then be used for distance measurement. By continuously cycling tests, you can easily obtain accurate mobile measurements.
The fundamental premise behind the operation:
- Activate the TRIG Pin to a 5V level for a duration of at least 10 microseconds.
- JSN-SR04T Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor will emit 8 40KHz tones and promptly determine the return of the signal upon reflection from the object.
- After detecting the signal, the IO Pin ECHO outputs a high-level signal. The time duration between transmitting and receiving is then used to calculate the distance. This is done by multiplying the time by the speed of sound (340M/S) and dividing it by 2.
