MAX17043 LIPO Fuel Gauge Detection Module
LiPo batteries are a fantastic option for powering your projects due to their small size, lightweight design, and impressive power output. However, even the highest quality batteries will eventually lose their charge unexpectedly and at the least opportune moment. Don’t be caught off guard when your board suddenly shuts down! The MAX17043 LiPo Fuel Gauge connects your battery to your project and utilizes an advanced algorithm to determine the percentage of remaining charge through A/D measurement of the battery voltage. This information is communicated to your microcontroller, essentially informing it of how much “fuel” is left in the tank. Additionally, the MAX17043 LiPo Fuel Gauge communicates with your project through I2C and includes an alert pin that notifies you when the charge drops below a certain threshold.
