OV5647 5MP 1080P IR-Cut Camera For Pi 3 and 4
The OV5647 5MP 1080P IR-Cut Camera for Pi 3 and 4, has a manual day-night mode switch. It connects to the board’s upper surface through one of its small sockets using the dedicated CSI interface, specifically designed for camera integration on Raspberry Pi.
Equipped with night vision capabilities, the camera is suitable for use with any version of the Pi. Boasting a 5-megapixel OV5647 sensor, it captures top-notch 1080p resolution.
The Externally attachable IR LED not only assists with night vision, but also supports the connecting of infrared and fill flash LEDs. Mounting holes are included for easy attachment and provide a 3.3V power output. Additionally, an adjustable resistor allows for control of the infrared LED based on ambient light levels. When the ambient light falls below the threshold value, the infrared LED is activated; when it rises above, it turns off. The onboard screw holes serve both as a mounting point and power supply connection.
The sensor, with a native resolution of 5 megapixels and a fixed focus lens, connects to Raspberry Pi via a short ribbon cable. It can capture 2592 x 1944 pixel still images and various video modes such as 1080p at 30fps, 720p at 60fps, and 640x480p at 60 or 90fps.
Raspbian, the preferred operating system of Raspberry Pi, now supports the camera in its latest version.
