SCT-013-000 100A Non-Invasive AC Current Sensor
Introducing the SCT-013-000 100A Non-Invasive AC Current Sensor Split Core Type Clamp Meter Sensor. SCT-013-000 100A Non-Invasive AC Current Sensor serves as a current transformer and can accurately measure up to 100 amperes of AC current.
CTs, also known as current transformers, function as sensors for measuring alternating current. They have a specific usefulness in gauging the electricity consumption of an entire building (or its generation). The SCT-013-000 CT shown in the picture is specifically designed to be easily incorporated into DIY projects. It can simply be attached to either the live or neutral wire entering the building without the need for any high voltage electrical work.
Just like any transformer, a current transformer includes a primary winding, a magnetic core, and a secondary winding. For whole building monitoring, the primary connects to either the live or neutral wire entering the building and passes through the CT’s aperture. The secondary winding consists of multiple turns of thin wire enclosed within the transformer’s casing.
Applications are
- Appropriate for the current measurement.
- The supervision and safeguarding of AC motors.
- The equipment used for lighting
- The device responsible for compressing air.
