US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module
Introducing the US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module with Temperature Compensation. It has a measurement range of 2cm to 450cm, making it capable of accurately detecting objects within that distance.
The US-100 offers a wide voltage input range of 2.4V to 4.5V, as well as a static GPIO function and various serial communication methods. US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module includes a watchdog feature within its operating band, ensuring stability and reliability.
Operating on a broad voltage spectrum, the US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module offers both digital and serial output options.
The US-100 offers precise range detection with temperature correction. It has the ability to provide distance measurements in millimeters through a serial data output mode or by utilizing the duration of a high digital output.
US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module is compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers, and has an idle consumption of only 2mA.
The US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module requires a 2.4V-5.5V power supply, and the usage of its other pins depends on the selected operating mode. Choose the mode by adjusting the jumper on the back. With the jumper in place, the sensor will output distance as binary serial data; without it, a single pulse will represent the measured distance. To use serial data mode, place the shunt on the operating mode selection jumper and connect the Trig/TX pin to your microcontroller’s TX serial transmit line and Echo/RX pin to its RX serial receive line. Set your microcontroller’s serial port to 9600 baud at 8-N-1 and send a 0x55 byte to start measuring distance. Use this formula: Millimeters = FirstByteRead * 256 + SecondByteRead. Additionally, this module can also provide temperature readings when using serial output mode; just send a 0x50 byte and read back a single temperature byte to obtain Celsius temperature using this formula: Celsius = ByteRead – 45.
